Ben Griimes is just this one guy.  <----- There's his photo.  He is an MPSE Golden Reel nominated sound editor & designer based in Los Angeles, holding a Master’s Degree in Film & Television Production from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts and two Bachelor’s Degrees - one in Film & Media Production and another in Creative Writing - from the University of Kansas.
After spending his early twenties as a recording artist for Capitol Records, Ben transitioned to working in television where he occupied various roles such as Script Coordinator, Storyboard Artist, Writers’ Assistant, and Production Assistant for shows like It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia (FX), Baskets (FX), A to Z (Warner Bros Television/NBC Universal), The Mark Maron Project (IFC), and other various pilots that failed to quite get off the ground.  He also worked in various sound design, directing, project management, production design, and PA roles on music videos, commercials, web series, and short films.
In addition to this, Ben composed and contributed music for numerous films and television shows like Grey's Anatomy, Gossip Girl, Chuck, America's Funniest Home VIdeos, John Tucker Must Die, et al.
During his time at USC, Ben focused on Sound Design, excelling in both tracks and working on numerous advanced projects in these roles.  During this time he was panel-selected to direct one of USC's prestigious 546 projects, the film Scratch+Sniff.
To date, Ben Griimes has been a sound designer and rerecording mixer on ten short films, one feature length documentary, and numerous other commercials and promotional pieces.  As a director he's created eight short films, three short documentaries, and numerous other music videos and commercials.
